I bought this book a few weeks back after skimming through it. Frankly, I should have saved my money. I found parts of it interesting, but I had a hard time figuring out why certain people were spotlighted and others weren't.
Also, his writings on Motown could offend some. The author brings up the fact that Berry was allegedly a pimp. So for almost every Motown situation that is mentioned, it is compared to a situation in Iceberg Slim's book PIMP.

Reese, Raynoma Gordy-Singleton said the same thing about Berry being a pimp in her book: Berry, Me and Motown.
