Weldon - take a bow.

Weldon - with this in mind, do you remember doing any sessions with 'Fela Kuti'? I have a been asked by a work colleague, as he saw your name connected with him and Roy Ayers.

I agree Mel. Weldon, when are you on the radio over here in the UK? Can you remind us all on the forum when it is. Is it later this month? Are you doing it live from Philly via ISDN?

Thanks Weldon.

The url for the station, for those interested is:

http://www.jazzfm.com/

Simply click 'listen to jazz fm' and select either London or North West England. I believe it is the North West station that will be covering this.

This is a great chance to showcase the Philly sound from a Northern soul perspective. Weldon, if you have anybody that could video you 'on the air' during the programme, the footage could come in handy in years to come. Some budding TV person may utilise the footage, when somebody eventually realises, in TV terms, that there is enough footage to make a movie in the city. One day the footage will be rare and would be invaluable for future generations to see you in the flesh, so to speak! If I win the lottery, I will fly over and do it.

Carl
may I be your minder when you win the lottery and go over
as I Have 'door' experience.
It would be great though in all seriousness though to do a film regards all the truly great artists past and present regards the truly great talent from philly.
And if I had anything to do with it Weldon and his Larks would be a big part of it as well as
Bobby and all the others that we all know.
regards
mel(aka 'knuckles')
