Usually, "lifetime achievement" awards are given to people who truly deserve them and who have accomplished much more than I have and who are ready for "the happy hunting ground".

Man, I'm just getting started!!

Hi SS!!
Wow , that was nice of him indeed.

By the way Henry D was at the gig last week and I put a bug in his ear about JS as well and I reminded him that Val had spoken to him the day that we were there in the store.

In fact he and his lovely wife sat with me at the dinner table.

I do believe that it will happen.

Someone I know who is 23 years old and I asked him and a friend of his what is the sexiest song they have ever heard their parents play and BOTH of these guys said "Love Wont Let Me Wait" and then their second favorite was Pillow Talk by Sylvia...so I guess a few months ago I was wrong it is best that you kept all of the moans and groans in..LOL They both feel that it was sexy but done with good taste..

Top of pageBottom of page   By Eli (151.197.125.156) on Tuesday, July 01, 2003 - 09:25 pm:

Hey "TLJ", thank you for that wonderful comment!!
No one has ever said that to me.

God Bless!

Steph..

I have absolutely no idea what possesed me to come up with that song as I definitely was not feeling sexy that day.
It may have been the Nabisco Nutter Butter cookies that we always had during our writing sessions chased down with some Maneschewitz Cream White Concord!!

Top of pageBottom of page   By Fred Saxon (24.30.140.11) on Wednesday, July 02, 2003 - 01:40 am:

Thanks to Ralph for posting my Emmy picture. (Actually I'm living proof that ANYBODY can be on television!)
Been doing TV for 25 years, but never would have had the guts to give it a try if it hadn't been for my performance experience with the Sunliners. I've had some great times but I look back on the Sunliners years and remember them more fondly than any others. Making music in the 60's with Ralph, Pete, Gil, Russ and John was beyond words. It was the best time of my life. If only I could crank up that time machine, I'd travel right back there.

Top of pageBottom of page   By Ralph (209.240.198.62) on Wednesday, July 02, 2003 - 09:30 am:

I would try and be there waiting for you Fred.

Top of pageBottom of page   By Dennis Coffey (205.188.209.109) on Wednesday, July 02, 2003 - 08:46 pm:

Hey Fred. I think we would all like to crank up the time machine and go back to working some of the clubs. It was a great time. I still sit in with George Katsakis and Guy Gillis. We still enjoy ourselves and tell a lot of funny stories about the old days. I also do some projects with Mike Theodore when he comes to town.

Top of pageBottom of page   By Clay (68.73.55.227) on Tuesday, July 08, 2003 - 10:46 am:

Congradulations Fred,
It's been a long haul and a lotta years, but I'm proud to say "I knew you when" and "I know you now" You always had the drive to be special and you did good.
By the way, what's the name of your show...? All the best to you and your Bride.

Top of pageBottom of page   By Fred Saxon (24.30.140.11) on Tuesday, July 08, 2003 - 04:17 pm:

Clay,
Thanks for the good thoughts. I miss you man. We didn't spend that many years together, but they were good ones.
I got the award for my segments on the local FOX TV station here in San Diego. I show up on the morning news during the week and talk with, and about, Hollywood stars and review movies. Good gig and I can provide a humorous take on whatever I want. I've got a great face for radio, but they let me be on TV. More stuff on my web site, fredsaxon.com.
Thanks again,

Top of pageBottom of page   By Carl Dixon London (62.31.40.155) on Saturday, August 09, 2003 - 01:28 am:

Wow! I missed this one! Congratulations Bobby! And indeed Fred!

Fred, it is not true about the face!!

Top of pageBottom of page   By Ian W (194.75.129.2) on Monday, August 11, 2003 - 07:33 am:

Fred, great stuff and congratulations too! I had only taken notice of the thread title on my last entry and didn't mean to ignore your achievements. I guess you were on the Sunliners track on the Golden World label - it's a great 45!

Top of pageBottom of page   By Ralph (209.240.198.62) on Monday, August 11, 2003 - 10:17 am:

Ian,
At the time The Sunliners were signed to Golden World, Fred had already left the band to try his hand at other things. He was replaced by Steve Fisher who plays on the record. As Fred's picture above demonstrates, he did well for himself.

Top of pageBottom of page   By Ian W (194.75.129.2) on Tuesday, August 12, 2003 - 08:17 am:

Thanks Ralph, he certainly did!

Ian
