I just read on another board that former Supreme(for 15 months) Linda Lawrence also had used this name.

Linda Tucker, Lynda Lawrence and Norma Lewis are one in the same person.

Linda, Lynda and Norma is the sister of Sundrae(Sandra) Tucker also known as Cindy Scott .
They are the daughters of Ira Tucker of the Dixie Hummingbirds.
They are from Philly.

Sundray Tucker was Leon Huff's main writing partner prior to Huff partnering with Kenny Gamble. Tammi Terrell is supposed to be kin to the Tuckers.

Ive heard many stories about Tammi Terrell's name. Yesterday I read in a soul Billboard book, that she had a "brief relationship with Ernie Terrell and changed her name from Montgomery."

I found a Norma Lewis CD on amazon.com and she is no way Lynda or Sundray.....unless they've had some drastic plastic surgery. Wonder who this Norma Lewis is and how many are floating around? I've also heard Lynda Laurence went under the name of Norma Lewis, but, this ain't her!

I went to Amazon.com and listened to the Norma Lewis CD. My God, it does sound like Lynda Laurence! But, the picture on the CD isn't Lynda or her sister Sundray. Could someone else go to amazon.com and give a listen to that CD who KNOWS what Lynda Laurence sounds like and see what they think. Loosing my mind????? Tis a mystery to me.

Norma Lewis is Lynda Laurence. In the early 1980s Lynda was recording new material to feature on a self titled (Lynda Laurence) album. Lynda and the producer parted. Lynda had completed half of the album so the producer hired a woman to record the other tracks and released them under the "Norma Lewis" Title. Lynda Laurence is a power house singer and you can definitly tell which tracks she is singing on. My favorite is "Make Your Own Kind Of Music" and "When Loving You." To me Lynda is the Suprems' best kept secret. Lynda can sing!!!!!!

Thank you for the clarification! I thought I was losing it. Wonder who that picture is on the CD cover? Wonder who the other person is singing "like" Lynda. I agree, Lynda is a powerhouse vocalist. Her sister Sundray has a different voice than her sisters.

Vandelron..
The name Terell was given to Tammi by Berry Gordy mainly for the sound of it and the double consonant and through no connection with Ernie T.
