Does anyone know if Motown is releasing a Carolyn Crawford CD? I thought I had read that a while back, but, haven't heard anything of recent? I DO like her Motorcity CD.

Universal Europe has just released 15 albums in a new series called 'ORIGINAL FUNK LP SERIES' which features the Caroline CRAWFORD album 'Nice & Soulful'...

It's a nice price series although this has got to be one the best reissue series I know (talking about full albums, not compilations)

All are in nice digipack format with the art cover designed in such a way the original format of the LP art cover is respected and the back of the albums are on the reverse side of the CD... also the booklet inside includes new liner notes, and the complete discographies of the artists regardless of their label changes which is a nice tool... also included are rare promo photos...
And the sound has been digitally transferred from the original master tapes in high resolution (24 bit 96 khz)... something you rarely see in budget series...
Another set of 15 is programmed for a september release if all goes well... for the moment this series is available in Europe only (because in Europe Universal has the rights to all their subsidiaries catalogs whereas in the US Motown, mercury and the others are independent one from another even if they do belong to Universal...)
I talked to the initiator of this project who is working on exporting those CD's to the US to make them available for the american market...
