There's a Deluxe Edition arriving in stores July 29 (U.S.) and the 28th (U.K.) - track details at http://boards.motown.com

This album was recorded throughout 1975 and early 1976 and so was not done at Motown in Detroit, like portions of 'Let's Get It On' had been. However, in working on the Deluxe, I found:

- Of course, as some know well, Leon Ware, the album's producer and co-writer, is a Detroit native. Had been in the Romeos in the fifties with Lamont Dozier.

- Art Stewart, who recorded the Marvin Gaye sessions after the backing tracks had been originally cut for T-Boy Ross and Leon, went to school with Leon Ware in Detroit.

- Obviously, T-Boy, the late brother of Diana Ross, was from Detroit.

- The famous guitar riffs in the title cut are by our SD pal Dennis Coffey. Dennis is one of five guitarists credited on the album but looking at the tracking sheets one can see he is 'GRT #1' and it's clear DC is the featured guitarist. Dennis confirms this. Love that descending gliss in the intro.

- Ray Parker Jr., also from Detroit, is on the album. He is, on the session sheets, "GTR #2."

An FYI - and, if anyone would like to hip us to more Motor City connections, great.

Harry!

Great news!... and I'm looking forward to that Leon Ware CD too! I was so dissapointed when his single on Gordy was not released 1976... and the album just got lost. It was so good! Nice to see it on CD soon.
