Has anyone ever heard of a girl group called "Coffee"? I bought their CD at an outlet store. It's from the early 80's, I think? I thought I had read somewhere once that these might be members of a 60's girl group? Hmmm. Can anyone help?

Coffee did two LP's on the De-Lite label...
One called Slippin & Dippin and I can't remember the title of the other but there was a great dance song called 'Casanova' (not the Levert song which was issued much later) They were in action in the very early 80's...

The version of "Casanova" that Coffee covered was the Ruby Andrews song.

Loleatta Holloway also did a nice cover version of "Casanova". Holloway's version appeared on her 1975 Aware LP, "Cry To Me."

Dennis,
Is the compilation CD been released as of yet and, if so, how can we get it.
Thanks,
Kim
