Eli: Just to let you know how deeply your music has touched people..... The guys from New Edition were interviewed on local radio yesterday (in conjunction with their 20th anniversary), and one of the questions asked was "If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be ?" One of the guys said "he grew up listening to his uncle's LPs & fell in love with Blue Magic...and he would just want to listen to "Sideshow" He also said that what he heard in Blue Magic and LTD is what he hoped New Edition would become (as they were being "groomed" in the projects of Boston).
Who woulda "thunk" it.....

Wow!!! I am tickled BROWN about that.
Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that my little songs would affect people in that way, and New Edition no less. I am humbled.

Since this Forum has been in motion, I realize now that after Motown no longer satisfied my musical craving, it was the Philly Sound that took control, and Bobby Eli, you had something to do with all those great songs that I enjoyed.
Would you mind telling me where did you get so much soul and insight? The songs you made, wrote, produced or arranged are great.

I feel the same way Sis,
the music of Philly was just as important to the blue print of my life as Motown was..(still is)

Hey Bobby,
Down here in Houston, I've been hearing "Sideshow"
quite a bit. Check your bank account it should be growing. By the way, Carl let me have one the Gold 45's of Sideshow that I proudly display by my piano and for my own inspiration when I decided to learn how to play the piano. Great song, got any more???

Hi Sis!!
First of all I would like to thank my wonderful loving family for understanding my passionate quest for the music which I have come to embrace and for the creators who made it.
I am thankful for all of the friends that I have made along the way some still among us and some not and ONE LOVE among us all.
I am proud to be an "honorary African American"
and to have been accepted into the "Rainbow Coalition"
And I would like to thank God, and the Lord Jesus Christ for making it all happen when it did in that space in time.
