Russ has received seven awards from NARAS. Each award representing a song that he engineered and is now in the Hall Of Fame.
Interestingly, one of these songs orginated from the very first session he did for Motown after the Golden World buy out. Marvin and Tammi's " Ain't No Mountain High Enough " Not a bad way to start his Motown career. Also at this very same session he noticed a couple sitting at the piano waiting for the session to begin. He asked who they were and was told they were writers new to Motown. He went over and introduced himself to Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson. They would become life long friends.
Russ, congratulations for the awards. You've made us proud.

Wow, what a way to start at Motown!! Congrats, Mr. Terrana. When I read that Marvin's vocals were not on the original, and that they were patched in, and now I learn that this was Russ's first record at Motown? I just can't say enough!
Ain't no mountain high enough is one of the greatest record of all time, I never get tired of hearing it. I work with teenagers in Detroit and it is one of the few records that they won't ask me to delete!
