I hope you don't mind, Ralph, that I started this.. That other thread now takes a week and a half to load in on my computer. Anyway, I wasn't there, but I'm digging reading about it..

OK then ...pop quiz: who gave a noted Detroit music historian a neckrub (and no, twasn't me) ...

He tweaked me, now I'm tweakin' him ...

Sue - I missed the neckrub.

Mark - I don't know how to post photos, so I will put them on a web page tomorrow.

Marshall,
I don't mind at all. In fact I appreciate it when someone takes the initiative to continue a long tread.

Carl,

Thank You for the song. I am sitting here now singing 'My Empty Arms' and 'Lonely TearDrops'.
Can't wait to learn the "The Who Who Song.

Carl,

I was just on Kazaa trying to see if I could download it from there. There were no searches for it. Could you tell me what the title of the CD the song is on.

While you are finding that for me, I will be sitting here singing 'The Tear of the Year'

Raymon

Raymon/Mr. Magic:
"The Who Who Song" is available on the 2CD set "The Brunswick Years Vol. 1" issued in 1995 on the Brunswick label.

I co-wrote the liner notes for that collection with Robert Pruter.

If you send me your email address, I'll send you a copy of the CD from my office.

Regards,
Kevin Goins - KevGo

Kev to the rescue! You will not be disappointed, I assure you, otherwise I will buy you a beer the next time I am in Detroit.

Sis - thank you for adopting me. I feel so privileged. I sure do feel at home there, believe me.

Carl - Thank you. Victoria wishes you well, and wanted to be sure that you three got home safely. I assured her you did. She said you are always welcome.

Well, I've already said it on another thread...Anyway, maybe I should've let the Media here (Detroit) N on our 'Event', afterall, we were celebrating with people from the other side of the world ...maybe I should've asked David and the others about that B4 the Event. This Forum would make a great TV/Cabel Special...as I said on the other thread,(statside) we must keep it 2gether and keep it Live, 4 as long as we can.
Just a thought, Just a thought...(smile)!

Soulful Detroiters, what can I say. I was so pleased with the affair at the Cass Cafe. Seeing old friends (Jay-Jay, Buzzie, Willie P) and meeting those who have enlightened me so on this site (Carl (from London), Mr. Magic, David Meike, and to have shaken the hand of the man who plays those awesome riffs on that geeetar of his (Dennis Coffee), I'm just estatic. It was such a joyous affair. A Lot of love and respect and good-vibes in that place that night. ..a toast to you all! Can't wait for the next one! David, Carl..thanks for all your hard work. David your research on all the Detroit record labels from the 60's is phenomenal. I placed a copy I had in Popcorns' mailslot. Haven't seen him in a while. I'm certain he will get a kick out of it.

Great photos, Sis -- wish I could have made it to AA with Jim G etc., but I couldn't break away.

Thanks for the pics Sis.

Great memories already.

Fred, we saw Popcorn on Monday and he's lost quite a bit of weight since the death of his wife, Gloria.

He was looking and sounding a lot sharper however and wants to lose more weight.

Great pictures Sis! It makes me feel like I am almost there!

I can't think of a better tribute to MUSIC than people from around the country and across the sea coming face to face with post names sharing thoughts, ideas, dancing, snappin' fingers, etc! I know these memories will be with all of you for a very long time!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
