Paul McCartney's concert in Moscow's Red Square reminds me of the Huey Smith song from 1958, "Rockin' Behind the Iron Curtain," featuring the late Bobby "There Is Something On Your Mind" Marchan.

Jeff Hannusch quotes Marchan: "Everybody was worred about Sputniks and getting in a war with the Russians. Huey picked up on it and wrote a song about rock and roll behind the Iron Curtain."
