Hi,
I have enjoyed reading the Golden World story, great job David. I have also read through the discography's on Ritchie's site and have a couple of questions I hope some of you can answer.
Why do "Making up Time and I love you Forever" by the Holidays appear on a Goldmine Thelma compilation CD? I understand how some of the Golden World product ended up on Solid Hitbound/Groovesville CD's but I did'nt know there was a connection with Thelma.
Also, I have a track on tape called "Easy Living" credited to The Holidays. The vocal I would say is definately Steve Mancha. Any info on Steve Mancha's connection to Golden World?
Thanks SDUK.

Dave,
Steve Mancha, J.J. Barnes & The Holidays have been discussed a lot on the J.J. BARNES-MICKAY'S RECORDS thread... even the "Easy Living" track. Check that out...
Many of the Detroit tracks on the Goldmine series are mixed up with different labels. I don't think you can use these releases as reference to what labels were connected to what in real life.

Could Don Davis be the common denominator?
