Hey R&B,
I could never commit myself to ever naming an all time list of any artists personally.
So just to keep on your good side
Heres a list of some fairly rare RnB sides that I have been listening to recently and dedicate my list of RnB
to Mr.RnB himself(hope you approve ya dag-nabitt-ol'prospectin'cussin'varmit)
Whar's ma chewin'bacca.
Enough of the frivolities
Lets go,go,go!
Lord Lebby-Caldonia.
Big Walter-Gamblin Woman.
Cile Turner-crap shootin'sinner.
Pigmeat Peterson-loudmouth Lucy.
Jackie Brenston-much later.
Otis Blackwell-you move me baby.
Jackie Dunham-all around the world.
Earl Gilliam-wrong doin'woman.
Jimmy Nolan-I cant stand you no more.
Big Mama Thornton-I smell a rat.
Gene and Billy-It's hot.
Boogaloo and his gallant crew-clothesline.
Angel Face-when the saint's.
Brook's and Brown-sleeping in an ocean of tears.
Joe Turner-I Love my baby.
Earl Williams-Let's make Love tonight.
Lee Graves-Papa said yes,Mama said No No No.
Charles Williams-so worried.
Elton Anderson-I Love you.
Charles Sheffield-It's your voodoo working.
T.Bone Walker-Tell me whats the reason(T.Bone, say no more).

John Greer-I'm the fat man.
Woo Woo Moore-Somethings wrong.
Jimmie"T9"Nelson-great big hunk of man.
Mr.Rain-Who Dat?
Dorothea Fleming-The Devil is Mad.

Well Thar yer are RnB,
A good example of why I personally could never actually compile an all time list of anything.
Jesus, and these are just a few RnB 45's.
I take my hat off to you all when I see personal lists.
Although never actually doing one,
I must add that Bessie Smith,Esther Philip's,Big Maybelle,The Wolf and on the Gospel side Mahalia Jackson would probably be well up there somewhere.
Just so many great cuts and so many
for me,great variant's of the music that I love.

Hope this will be suffice,
darn-tootin'
ah am out-a-here.
your prospectin'hooch swiggin'
pal(mel-o-rooneeeee).

Mel;
That can't be Jimmy Nolan who played bass for JB ?

Estelle Young Revue whom was a contortionist & dancer, whom Jimmy first started his professional career with was Caldonia. She was given the name by Louis Jordan, who had a big record with Caldonia back in the 40s.
S.S.

Soulsister,
I cant confirm if it is the same
Jimmy Nolan(not yet)
as all these are the property of a workmate of mine who years ago asked me to do a few rare soul tapes etc from my collection for him.
And in return he did this as well as a few others.
He really got into the rare soul material,
but sadly he moved in with a chick who isnt into our vibes and the soft get has sold his huge collection of RnB,doo-wop.
Such is the power of Lurve.

That's a great piece of info regards
Estelle Young.
I love Louis Jordan's material.
and his Tympany Five.

so funny on a lot.
especially Brother Beware,
rapping all those years ago. Also Doug the jitterbug, what's the use of getting sober(when your gonna get drunk again),fat sam from Birmingham and of course the afore mentioned
Caldonia.
Learning some great stuff from ya Soulsister.
with thanks
mel.
