i read a few diana inspired books and i
have to give mary credit her book was
interesting,diana'a book was boring because
it mostly talked about herself and her
greatness. i would like to hear from her
how her childhood was.her relationship
with the other supremes and berry,the
other motown acts.would like to hear her
side of the story(we all know there's
two sides to everything) and what she
plans to do now(further her career or
go into recluse.(wish i could interview
her) lol

I'd love to hear more of Diana's thoughts about her Supremes years as well, but I don't think her upcoming book is going to address that. From what I've read, Diana's upcoming book is going to pick up from where her last book ended. So mostly she'll concentrate on events from the last ten years, namely her divorce, the Return To Love tour, and her recent troubles with alcohol.

In any event, we're going to have a longer wait. According to Amazon, the book is now set for release in February.

I dont expect Miss Ross to say much about the Supremes or Motown she always says she doesnt want to spend time defending herself. If she did that she would probably have to let some cats out of the bag on herself. I hope that she doesnt start talking New Age stuff like she did in Secrets of A Sparrow. I bet any amount of money she is going to talk mostly about her family and things like that. Someone who works for the NY Times posted on a Ross Yahoo Board that she submitted the book to the editors and they handed it back to her for a rewrite and didnt want to do it. Remember the first book failed so I guess they dont want to take another risk. Remember this book was slated for release in September and they probably wanted to put the book out on the heels of the DUI so it would sell. I doubt if she got a big advance on it if she got one at all.

Time will tell but if this book is full of New Age advice and stories about how strong and self serving she is only the fans will buy it. Nothing against Miss Ross but if she wants the book to sell she is going to have to say something about her life as a recording artist or about the Supremes but she doesnt like to talk about that stuff so I guess we will see. I would love to read about her life in the studio and her music I have heard enough about Mr Gordy. I wish I had been a fly on the wall when she had her last conversation with Florence right before she passed it would have been good to see them get together again and be friends. I think Diana should talk about this stuff and what she thinks of Motown and how she got ahead and the production values over at RCA it would make good reading and she could thrown in photos of her and the Supremes we have never seen before. Here is another chance for her to make her image good again she has a lot to tell. Dont dissapoint Miss Ross make the fans happy..
