NOW FIRST OF ALL :OD...ONLY MY BIG BROTHER IS ALLOWED TO CALL ME THE S-ASS NAME (JUST ASK RALPH)!!!...AS FOR YOUR SECOND POINT...THERE HAVE BEEN MANY TEMPTATIONS...AND PRESIDENT CLINTON WOULD NOT BE THE ONLY ONE CURRENTLY *LOST*!!!...AS FOR YOUR FINAL POINT...YOU CAN'T BE BOTH JAKE *AND* ELWOOD BLUES!!!...THEY ARE ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PERSONA'S...IN A SORT OF "LOST IN LIFE" CONTEXT!!!...SO NOW THAT WE HAVE THAT MATTER SETTLED...BACK TO THE "FUNKS"!!!...LESS RESPECTFULLY...STUBASS

I think I would like to be Babbitt....He seems to be so cool at what he does and I have always respected the bass line because thats what puts the digs in the grooves..

I could get behind being Robert White. He was a very nice fellow, and a very fine musician.

As a somewhat frustrated guitarist, i dream of sitting with Joe and Eddie, But i would probably be intimidated by their shear talent and experience, I would be willing to learn off of them though!
By the way ON disc 2 of the SITSOM DVD
I was again struck at their ability to adapt to any style they so desire, not many guitarists these many have the depth of understanding to cover a variety of styles, Joe and Eddie appear to make it look like just another days work.

Sitting in between Joe and Eddie or as Babbitt because he is the best and I wouldnt have to lose any weight!!!

Stubass:
If there's any Funk Brother I would be (and I know he's deceased) it would be the greatest bassist of all time (from SITSOM'S intro), JAMES JAMERSON.

This needs no explaination.

After thinking this over and really looking at all the possibilities, I would love to be in Mr. Babbitt's position, I try to play bass and he is quite the man to try and follow after. But with that said, I would love to be on the keyboards like Mr. Hunter. He is such a great person to listen to tell stories.
Keep the bass line strong and your heart in the song.
Robert

After KevGo's posting, I would like to be Benny Benjamin, the greatest drummer of all time.
This needs no explanation.
