Thom Bell used pedal steel on the beautiful Sadie by the Spinners and then I followed suit on Blue Magic's Love Has Found Its Way To Me.

Pedal steel is normally an instrument I hate -
apart from the obvious use in country records
what comes to my mind is CSN&Y's "Teach Your
Children" which I'll be quite happy if I never hear again.

However there is one great track that uses pedal
steel (played by Sneaky Pete Kleinow, a Michigan
boy) and that's Bobby Womack's "I Don't Know"
one of his later United Artists singles - a
brilliant record.
