Hi - We are making a documentary for Canadian Television called "Radio Revolution: The Rise and Fall of the Big 8" about CKLW, the Motor City powerhouse radio station in the 1960's and 70's. Part of the story concerns the great amount of soul and funk they had in their playlist. We are looking for visual examples of music surveys from some of the Detroit soul stations of the day - particularly WCHB and WJLB - from anytime between 1965 and 1980. We would really appreciate a few scans of these surveys from any collectors. Anyone have some or can make suggestions? Regards

Hello Michael and that is great news! I grew up listening to CKLW from kindergarten until I left for college in the late 70's. I continued to listen when I went home in the early 80's but it had all changed by then. I think this is a great idea (to do the documentary) I am sure you know thousands of people grew up listening to that station. I still miss it today. Peace
