MR ELI, YOU STATED ON A EARLIER THREAD THAT
OTHER PEOPLE DID BACKGROUND VOCALS FOR
BLUE MAGIC. IF THEY REUNITED WILL THEY
DO THE SAME THING AS FAR AS HAVING PEOPLE
DOING THEIR BACKGORUND VOCALS. THEY DIDN'T
SOUND BAD ON THAT PBS SPECIAL.

Hi Fayette,

The PBS show did use "professional" supplimental singers as well to duplicate the sound of the record!! If you have the chance to watch the show again, listen close and you can hear it.
As far as when I record them again..I dont know, as it is a very touchy subject after all these years.
In the studio environment, the pro mikes are very sensitive and the voices must blend perfectly.
All of us Philly producers from the '70s on, were sticklers for vocal perfection, and it shows!!
I can say that if I do produce the group, as with any group I will try them first and if that does not work, then I can resort to"plan B"
