I'd like to know the success rate percentage of singers who went from groups to trying solo careers. I suspect that the reason they left the group is the reason they haven't had great solo careers.

Another thought I have is that sometimes one gets to work with works and everything clicks. And it isn't only in music. But a certain group of people accomplish wonders. Then, perhaps someone gets to thinking that he/she is the reason for the great success and everything falls apart. And I wonder do we really ever realize and accept the great situation when we are in it?

Over the years, I have seen Ollie in many plays.
He's quite the showman and actor. His voice is still incredible.
I don't think Ollie "left" the Temptations. At the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I asked Otis why he keeps replacing the lead singer spot, his reply was "change is good". For who? Not us.
Eddie, David, Dennis, Damon, Richard, Ollie, Theo, Barry...the list goes on and on. When Eddie, David, Dennis, Damon and Ollie "left" the group, they couldn't use the term "formerly of the Temptations" because Otis sued them. And won, I believe. But no court in the land or Otis can tell me "who" the Temptations. When I hear Otis say publicly, "No ONE person is the Temptations", I laugh, because he thinks only HE is The Temptations.

Earlier this year Glenn and Ali performed with a group for a length of time in Las Vegas as the Former Leads of the Temptations.So he is still singing.

And Ali's Right Here All Along cd is very nice but I still prefer a Temptation.
