Another Ruffin brother?

There's a gentleman who currently sings with the Delfonics by the name of Garfield Ruffin. Does anyone know if he's related to David & Jimmy? I WILL say he looks a lot like David and even goes so far as to wear the "David Ruffin-style" Eyeglasses.
Anyone with info?

Jim

Garfield Flemmings. No relation to Ruffin.
Look to far right on this link to see Garfield.

Sis, that certainly LOOKS like the guy I'm talking about. Interesting, isn't it, that someone would need attention so badly that he'd have to concoct a story about being related to a couple of legends?
Thanks for the help...if you know of any sites where I might see a closer photo, let me know, just so I know for sure.
Thanks again!

Stranger56 - I'm thinking. I may have a picture of him singing with the group. I will check.

Actually, Sis...I followed up on your lead and that is definitely the guy. I even heard a single of his, called "Don't Send Me Away". He is obviously influenced by the Ruffin sound, and has chosen this charade, either as a chance to get more gigs, or to get women. I've had the chance to see him offstage and he certainly isn't shy when asked the obvious question. And his answer is always..."Yes, I'm David's little brother, Garfield....I'm the baby in the family". He even carries around 8x10 photos of himself with David, I guess to add some legitimacy to his claim. He sells them, I suppose, to people thinking they're getting a "touch with greatness".
So, beware, I guess.....no matter how much he might tell you "Much respect", and he will, he apparently doesn't feel he has enough talent of his own to make it, and therefore, the charade.

Shame, though, cause the brother CAN sing, even though he's basically doing a David impression.

Thanks for the tip, Sis!

Strangre56 - The Ruffins in Detroit don't know him. I would like to see that picture of his.

But, we can never tell about the elder Mr. Ruffin, can we. :o) Since DR's death, so many unknown persons have come out and claimed relationship.

Karyl has agreed to search for the link to a web site which explains Garfield's singing career.

You can probably get in touch with David Jr. on his web site. You should perhaps pose a question to him to see if he has an uncle by the name of Garfield Flemmings-Ruffin, who sings with the Delfonics.

Stranger56 - Since I don't know how to upload photos here, I have placed a picture of the Delfonics with Garfield Flemmings on this page.
