I had the pleasure of witnessing one of the greatest shows I have ever seen tonight at the Keswick theater in suburban Philly.
I went with Weldon Mc Dougal and his friend Bobbi Amato who is a former Motown employee in the international division.

The Funks were ON FIRE and so were Darlene Love, Maxi Priest and Joan Osborne along with Carla Benson, Johnny Ingram and Delbert(forgot his second name) from Detroit.
The show lasted over two and one half hours and
the audience couldn't get enough.

We had the oportunity of going backstage and I had my copy of the DVD which was on sale on pre-release, autographed to me by the Funks.
I also purchased a Funk Bros tour hat.
I felt like a brand new fan once again!!!

Do they have the jackets on sell?

I was with the *FUNKs* backstage before the show last night in Philadelphia at the beautiful suburban Keswick Theater........and even had a *paid for* seat in the Front Row!!!! (How did I get that lucky? Allan says that maybe Jamerson arranged it for me!) I've known Bob Babbitt for 39 years and it was truly gratifying to see the love and excitement going to him and the other FUNKs during this sold out show........the audience was in an absolute frenzy of dancing, singing, and joining the FUNKs onstage to fill in the various parts of the Supremes, etc.
Everything that the people have said about the Boston & New York shows is true and it was very exciting..........also quite nostalgic when Jack Ashford comes out to front stage near the end of the show to talk about their deceased FUNK Brothers and they have large B & W photos of those FUNKs on the stage in the spotlights as they played the final songs........Allan Slutsky has done a masterful job in lining up the fantastic background singers (Delbert Nelson, Carla Benson, & Johnny Ingram) as well as the horn players including Mike Pedicin, Jr. and, from here in South Jersey, Demetrious Pappas helping Joe Hunter out on keyboards...........and Allan Slutsky deserves sooooo much credit for putting this whole show together....I was with them all day last Monday right before the tour began and the rehearsal was fantastic, so I knew it would be an unbelievable show..Darlene Love, Maxi Priest, and Joan Osborne were more than superb......it was a night that I will remember the rest of my life!!! DO NOT MISS this show if it comes within 300 miles from you!!!!

Cuznbrucie said it all. I saw the show last night in D.C. and all I can add is that you could feel in your bones and heart and soul the affection and admiration for the Funks coming from the audience. They had the place rockin. People of all ages dancin' in the aisles. All of the singers mentioned, Joan, Darla, Maxie, Carla, Johnnie and Delbert are fantastic, but the Funks are the show. You do not want to miss a night of absolutely great entertainment.
