Outer Drive and Van Dyke. The building is gone now. It is pictured in the "Birth of the Detroit Sound, 1940-1964" book.

David,Ginos was more like a night club than a regular bar.It was quite a happening place in it's day.
One singer I worked with there saw a lady he knew standing talking to about four guys at a table. He motioned her to come over,so she came over and started talking to him. When he went out after the gig his brand new chrysler car was gone! The Detroit cops called him the next day and told him they found his car smashed into a tree with a brick against the gas pedal!!

It seems the table full of guys she was talking to before she came over were Detroit Mafiosos. They thought he was being dis-respectful to them,so hence the brick against the pedal. Oh well,it could have been his head against that tree instead of his car.
