The CD is excellent, of course. Bunny Sigler's a favorite of mine, and his work on this latest album reinforces the reason why, his voice is STILL excellent. And thanks Mr. McDougal for allowing me to hear it!

Were Bunny Sigler and David Sigler the same guy?
By Eli (141.151.86.96) on Sunday, March 30, 2003 - 12:33 am: |
Bunny and David are not the same person.
He has a brother Jimmy and a late brother Benny.

Hi Bobby,
Who was David Sigler, then? I really love his duet with Dee Dee Sharp, "Conquer The World Together" (on Philadelphia International).

Weldon very graciously sent me Bunny's new CD to listen to. Pure Philly Old School. It is outstanding. If you're fortunate enough to have someone in your life, BUY this Cd.If you don't have anyone BUY it anyway. You'll run out and find someone. Bunny, best of luck with this fine piece of work. You are sounding AWESOME!! Weldon, I owe you one pal.

Quote from Ralph regarding the new Bunny Sigler CD:

Hey Ralph:
To think...If you didn't run one of the best recording studios in the country, you could've given Barney Ales the fits in the world of sales!
I'm gonna use your quote the next time I'm subbing for my record retail pals and I need to make that sales killing!
Keep smiling!

Nice one Ralph! Re. your 20th times three, I had my 47th birthday a couple of days back. I went to work feeling 20 years old too, until everybody had a dig at my age. When I arrived home, I read a story in a local newspaper about a 49 year old guy who had been arrested for cavorting with a couple of 16 year old girls. I thought "that could have been me". But then again, why would I want to cavort with a bloke two years older than me!
PS. the CD sounds very inviting!

Jeff, in an interview Dee Dee Sharp did for Discoveries Magazine (March 1993)she states that the duet she did with Bunny Sigler "Conquer the World Together" is her second favorite duet, with the first being one she did with Ben E. King ("Whatcha Gonna Do About It"). Randy Russi conducted the interview.

I would sure love to hear some of the early Philly International stuff, like the Dee Dee-Bunny duet. Maybe some year, all that stuff will turn up somewhere.

Hey recordboyusa, Eli & all, I asked my brother last night about the Bunny-David Sigler thing and he says Dee Dee says it is Bunny & she doesn't know why they put "David" on the label. It is a tuff track!!

My partner Teddie Morrow stopped by yesterday and we listened to the new Bunny Sigler CD on Grapevine. Now you must understand that I think Teddie is one of the baddest R&B singers on the planet and when he heard Bunny he said " That dude knows how to sing. " If you knew Teddie like I do, you would understand that Bunny received the supreme compliment from him. Once again, nice work Bunny.

I always loved Bunnys' version of "Love Train" that was a 45.
