Hey R&b and Soul music lovers, I know you must have a Clint Ballard written/produced/arranged song in your collection.
Let's demystify Clint Ballard. Is he related to Hank Ballard, comedienne Kaye Ballard, pet food icon,Dr. Ballard.

One of my favorite records ever (despite the mush-mouthed lead vocal): "I'm Alive" by The Hollies. This guy was a great writer.. Who was he and where did he come from?

Marshall, Soulpuss
I don't know much about him but it looks as if he
was New York based - there's a single on Guyden
from around '63 by a Clint Ballard so it looks as
if he started out as a singer then concentrated on
writing. He wrote some great stuff.
