Just to let you all know that currently No.1 on the UK POP SINGLES CHART is........
Detroit's own Oliver Cheatham of Gaslight / Rounftrip / Oliver and "Get Down Saturday Nite" fame.........which is nice.

Oliver appeared live on a national UK TV pop show yesturday, singing his 'new' No.1.

He looks a lot older than when I last met him (mid 80's) but still well. He certainly seemed to be enjoying himself.

It's sampled from "Get Down Saturday nite" as already stated (always a big track in UK clubs).
Oliver wrote it with Kevin McCord.
Seeing him on TV reminded me of the time my wife & I were in his hotel room. He had an instrument in his hand and turned his tape machine on. This is a song I'm workin on a present he says & breaks into "Thats How Heartaches Are Made". When he got to the chorus, Anita (wife) & I both joined in. He nearly fell off the bed... how d'you know that he asked.
That nite we got to see him perform live (got photos an'all). Next day we were all in a swank Edinburgh restaurant dining out with him (it was the period when he was signed to Move Records and I was acting as a consultant for em). Those were the days (mid 80's).
