Marvin and Tammi's classic was released on March 28, 1968 - 35 years ago today. It was the first Marvin & Tammi single produced by Ashford & Simpson. The previous singles, most of them written by Ashford & Simpson were produced by Harvey Fuqua & Johnny Bristol. The arranger for this single was Paul Riser. The session dates were July 22, August 8, September and October 5 & 6, 1967.

I love this song. One of the great interpretations of this song is Aretha Franklin's version. She changes the harmonics of the song but it renders chills with her vocals.
