HAVE YOU EVER NOTICED HOW EASILY WE GET ATTACHED TO THINGS,AND SOMETIMES IT'S HARD FOR US TO EXCEPT CHANGE ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO MUSIC,WHY I KNOW PEOPLE TODAY WHO STILL ASK..WHY DID THEY HAVE TO PUT THAT DENNIS EDWARDS FELLA IN THE TEMPS,SEE WHAT I MEAN.WE JUST GET USED TO HEARING A CERTAIN VOICE AND THAT'S IT FOR SOME PEOPLE,OF COURSE IT TAKE SOME GETTING USED TO,LIKE BILLY GRIFFIN REPLACING SMOKEY OR THE PLATTERS AFTER TONY WILLIAMS OR HOW ABOUT THE DRIFTERS WITH JOHNNY MOORE WHEN THEY RECORDED..LIKE SISTER AND BROTHER,GREAT SONG BUT IT JUST DIDN'T SOUND LIKE THE DRIFTERS,MAYBE IT WAS BECAUSE HE DIDN'T SING LEAD ON IT.WHAT NEW LEAD SINGERS DID YOU HAVE TROUBLE ADJUSTING TO?

Just a quickie - Bill Fredericks sang lead on "Like Sister And Brother". Incidentally, the backing vocals on their Bell recordings of the seventies were provided by Roger Greenaway and Tony Burrows. Nearly all the records featured only Johnny or Bill from the actual group.

I loved Phillipe Wynn's voice but I just couldnt get used to him being the lead singer. I like the guy who sang lead better on Ill Be Around and Could It Be Im Falling in Love. I still feel the same way although I think Phillipe had a great voice (may he rest in peace)

I also couldnt get used to Sammy Hagar over David Lee Roth in Van Halen. I thought Roth was such a showman and Im really shocked that they still did as well but I guess with rock bands some people dont care. Its funny how some people although they are up front are not the same without the group. I cant stand to watch Roger Daltrey without the who and Mick is utterly boring without the Stones. Try watching them without the group and see how bored you get. I like Sting alone but I could listen to him better with the Police. Now Diana is fine without the Supremes and when Teddy left Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes I thought he was fine. I could not see Levi without the Tops and them without him although right now they have good replacements until he returns. I still dont like to see Gladys without the Pips Im sorry I can listen to her sing but I liked her show better with them.

I thought Phillipe Wynne did sing "I'll Be Around" And "Could It Be..." and most of the 70's hits. He left before the medley hits "Working My Way", etc.

One of the more bizarre lead singer changes was when Allan Clarke left he Hollies and was replaced by Mikhail Rickfors (sp?) for the Romany album. Their voices were as different as you could get.

Never liked Michael McDonald as a Doobie, either.
