I thoroughly enjoyed Deke Richards' Motown stories, Bobby Eli's as well.

As I spent my early working career in a recording studio, for me it has to be Mike's exposé of Motown's technical "secrets" - the answers to questions I'd pondered on for years....

I would have to echo dvdmike and say the Deke and Bobby Eli threads were excellent reads. Plus I soaked up a great deal of knowledge from the many learned perspectives on the mammoth Motown/Memphis thread awhile back. Any diversion into errggh territory is good for lighthearted posting and some good laughs. And, needless to say, any thread where I can work in a put-down of Michael Bolton (just kidding!).

Note that Fayette asked for the "most interesting", not "the best".
the eeerrrggghhh series, not because it was fun (it was) but because it helped expose the w-i-d-e depth of knowledge of the fourm posters.

Mine just has to be when Weldon A McDougal came on line and gave me an in-depth and very interesting thread when he told me all about his links and involvement with some of my personal favourite records of all time.
(i.e.)About The 4 Larks,The United 4,Bernard Williams and the Blue Notes,Eddie Holman,Barbara Mason and also totally blew me away when he told me about The Harthon Record Label. As well as others.
I thought I was pretty clued up about the Harthon material, and I sat glued to the screen as Weldon so graciously took time out to hit me with some of the most riveting pieces of information that all related to a lot of my personal sounds from over the years.
Another interesting thread/s are Bobbys,
especially with everything hes been involved in.Learning that he was/is one of Herb Johnsons Impacts and the one that really interested me as soon as I saw the thread was Bobbys involvement with the classic, another all time classic dancer of mine,James Bountys 'prove yourself a lady'.
To say I was interested,
well,lets just say,
thats putting it mildly.
Thanks to one and all.
MEL(and interestingly then some).

I bumped into this site by accident in early February of this year, when I did a Google for Bert "Super charts" DeCoteaux.
I can't begin to express the joy and knowledge that I received from SD.The entire site is one beautiful thread.

Hi Mel:
I can't remember the context of my search for Bert.I do recall once I logged on to the SD link, I was instantly hooked. I think I completely forgot about Bert for the remainder of that month.
I remember vividly when He revived Ben E. King's career with "Supernatural thing". It was as if Ben rose from the dead.
