I couldn't help but notice that Missy Elliott can really move on the dancefloor. Check out the video for "Gossip folks" feat. Ludacris. For a gal her size she can shake it.

I also recall Rerun when he used to perform as part of his dancegroup, the Lockers. Whew could he move!!

Anymore plump shakers come to mind.

From the Big T.N.T. Show--Bo Diddley, while not obese, was one heavy-set guy who could really move and look so cool dancin' while holding that trademark square guitar.

Despite the fact that his poor cha cha heels couldn't take it, I recall that Divine was a right little mover on stage.

Barry White...he use to go to high school with my mom. My mom told me not only was he a musical genius then but he was a great dancer and he was just as smooth then.

Missy has finally made the big time. She was in a episode of South Park last week!! I'm sorry guys but I find that show hysterical. In the episode last week Cartman and the guys go to an alien space ship. The alien decides to change form so that he won't upset Cartman and friends in his natural state. After the boys reject several forms the alien turns into Missy singing "Work It." Cartman says NOOOOOO! and then the alien chooses to another form. I practically fell off the couch laughing.

Then there's the fat guy you see at every football game, a distant cousin to the construction workers at the Oakland Colleseum during A's baseball last year. I wonder if the networks go out and hire these guys.

Soul / blues guy Lou Pride (out of Chicago) can really get down when he sings his uptempo NS outing "I'm Comin Home In The Mornin".

On an associated topic, 'heavyweight' singer / writer / producer (& old pal of Sidney Barnes) died back in 1988, I'm told. This was news to me. Anyone have any info on this sad event.
