I was wondering if anyone could shead any light on Johnny Rodgers/Nu Tones cut a record on Amon Records 'Make A Change' MID 60'S - of course there are many artists who remain so obscure it's almost impossible to find out any information on them but it would be fantastic if Johnny's still out there just so we can say thanks for one hell of a superb one off effort.
Pride of place in my collection.
Also who were the Brooks Brothers? cut a record on Tay 'Looking For A Woman' I believe they had a connection with T.J Fowler but that's about it.

Mark - I remember hearing that the Brooks Brothers were connected to The Impressions - but can't say if there is any truth in it. As you know - they were also linked to The Sequns 45.

Mark

You are welcome to join us at our event in the Cass Cafe in Detroit on May 23rd.

"Make a change" is already on the playlist.

The UK will represented by several folks from Glasgow and London.

We spend the rest of our time touring the hundreds of sites associated with the halcyon era.

I'm sure we could provide you with a turntable Mark. It would add that special authenticity as the music on the evening will be from cd.

Basically, we will be in Detroit between 21st and 26th May. We are not records collectors, just amateur historians.

To keep everyone interested the music will be split between Motown and Rare Soul with the latter being represented by the likes of Johnny Rogers and Lee Rogers.

There will be a "site flyer" about the event in the next few weeks. We are hoping for a full house.

David
