Hey R&B,
I have got some nice pics of Little Stevie when he was over here in the 60's,a couple of good ones with Stevie and his tutor,a Mr.Ted Hull.
Also with him are a Mr.Clarence Paul and the best shots for me are with Stevie and his drummer named 'Bo' or (aka) Hamilton Bohannon.
It says of 'Bo' that he comes from Atlanta,Georgia.A highly qualified musician with a bachelor of arts degree in music. Also a former public school teacher.
He was hospitalised after a car crash ,but whilst recouperating met Stevie and became his personal drummer.
At the time of the pics,it was just after Stevie cut the still great sounding today record of 'Uptight'.
Stevie aged only around 15/16years of age.I always play the flip to 'Uptight' of 'Purple Raindrops'.
You can tell he is young but its so good, the lyrics to 'Uptight'are so good.
'She's a pearl of a girl,
I guess thats what you might say'.
and it still mooooooves me man!!!!!!!
Also have him singing it live on a video, looking cool.
I still have his Anthology album, and various 45s,AngelBaby,Keep cool, calm, keep yourself together,I want my baby back,Nothings to good for my baby and the out-a-site 'Uptight'along with earlier (uk)releases etc.
Right-On Stevie.
Mel.
