Eli's thread on songs that paid homage to DJ's had me thinking about the DJ theme songs...both openers and closers. The obvious Detroit ones were Robin Seymour's Bobbin' with Robin" and Lee Alan's opening "Zing went the Strings of My Heart" by L. Elgart as he closed with Sinatra's "I Can't Get Started with You." Tom Clay used to close with "Goodnight My Love" and Tom Shannon closed with, I think, "That's All." These kind of openings and closings were probably copied throughout the country. Any others that you can think of?

Mentioned these on the other DJ thread. Tom Shannon's "Wild Weekend" by the Rockin Rebels (?)--it had words put to it, The Four Season's version of "Big Girls Don't Cry" for Joey Reynolds, Edwin Starr's "Scott on Swingers" done to "S.O.S.", and the Shy Guys song based around Regan's Burger Club.
Someone, I don't remember who, always ended his show with a Wayne Newton song.
I feel like I'm dating myself horribly.
