WOW its about time that show had a redeeming quality other than Frenchie and Tamyra. NOW we have to get Eli and Babbitt and Mr Coffey and Ralph and Russ and the others to judge and there wouldnt be any time for bad talent!!! If Mike McLean Tech was a judge I would run for cover.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Steph. What I'm really hoping is that LaMont conducts himself like the professional I know he is and doesn't stoop to the sleaze that emits from that crew of judges.

This will be the first time I'm looking forward to seeing AI.

I think it's a weak show and the bulk of the contestants have mininal if any talent. I do like Simon. He's blunt, yet he's brutally honest.

Greg. I agree with you about Simon. At least his opinions are valid. However I seem to have a probem with the slghtly cruel way they handle some of these contestants even though they may have utterly no talent. Like I said, I'm hoping LaMont will give the panel a little class.

I really don't think Simon will be so cruel with LaMont there. I do believe the contestants will surprise us this time. They have to do right by HDH, give all they've got.

I don't normally watch AI, but this is going to be a great show.

I assume you know us Brits had the same show but we called it Pop Idol. And we have had no end of spins off too - be prepared.

Our winner was Will Young, he belted out a version of "La Mer (Beyond the Sea)" and "I Get The Sweetest Feeling" one night that had me rooting for him. I only hope that the new material they eventually give to the winner can stand alongside the music that they are currently interpreting.

Good point John! It seems, to aquire the quality songs, they go back over 30 years. It must be a nice feeling for those involved with those recordings. I saw him perform the Jackie Wilson track. What a great way to showcase the song, with millions watching! Lets hope a few people start asking questions about the sing!
