Anybody got any 'recent' favourite motown music from the last few years I'll start the ball rolling with Johnny Gills album from 1990 with the great My My My on it, and By All Means self titled LP from 1992 for the great "love Lies"

Yep !!! I'll go with Johnnie. Number 2 would be Brian McKnight...

Shanice married Flex Alexander ("Homeboys In Outer Space") and doesn't seem to be doing much these days...

Taral Hicks. She joined Motown during the "Andre Harrell Era" when he took over and had absolutely no idea what he was doing. Taral's CD was pretty good and worth a listen. She had a lot of potential.

There is currently a lot of interest from UK MS fans in the recent proposed albums by Black Coffey and DJ Rodgers Jnr.
Both had albums scheduled late last year (on Motown). 12" promos were issued & went down a storm here BUT both albums were put back & now I think have been scrapped.

Black Coffey even have a track on the new Stevie Wonder tribute CD but yet can't get their own (far superior) album issued. It's finished & only needs artwork drawing up so what cost is involved (nothing surely) and yet I bet it remains in the vaults.

I have a four track CD sampler of DJ Rodgers Jr. and it is excellent! I'm waiting for the whole album. The Black Coffey single was never released here, but I saw the brothers on Soul Train and they were very good. I hope both of those projects get out this year.
