To tell you the truth, I think I would be jumping ship at the first port of call if I had to hear the same song all day!!

Like it would matter what I asked for. We all know the band would be playing "One Love/People Get Ready" anyway. Do cruise bands play anyting else when they pass through either the Carribean or South Pacific?

Ken

R&B,
You never cease to amaze me how many themes you come up with for this forum!!! OK, I'll pick "Angel" by the Satintones. Or if they prefer to play something more "lively", I'll take "Zing Went the Strings...." also by the Satintones!
By the way, are R&B your initials or does it stand for Rhythm & Blues?

"So Strange" by the Five Dollars would make a great background to nearly any deckside activity.

I realise that I might get a few bricks thrown at me here but I can try and dodge them....the one record I can listen to over and over and over again is

"ROCK THE BOAT"!!!...BUT I DO RECOLLECT THAT BACK IN THE EARLY 80'S WHEN I WORKED AS A DJ ON THE "ROYAL VIKING SEA" CRUISE SHIP OUT IN THE PACIFIC...THAT LIONEL RICHIE HAD JUST RELEASED "ALL NIGHT LONG"...AND EVERY BAND AND ORCHESTRA ON THE SHIP...INCLUDING THE "POLISH" POP BAND "RAMA lll"...PLAYED THAT SONG ENDLESSELY (ANOTHER LIONEL TUNE)...SO THAT BY THE TIME THAT I DISEMBARKED...I WAS KIND OF SICK OF "ALL NIGHT LONG"...HEARING IT ALL DAY AND NIGHT LONG!!!...STU

R&B, I guess I've taken your question all too literally because the truth is there's not a song on this earth that I could listen to on a repeating loop for the duration of a 'round the world cruise that wouldn't drive me insane after a time. If music's playing, I have a hard time tuning it out, unless it's some ambient recording. So I'd probably pick the most innocuous ambient recording and take a pair of wire cutters with me to surreptitiously disconnect as many onboard PA speakers as I could once the ambient recording also began drive me crazy.

Listening to the same song over and over would be like listening to a white noise generator after awhile.Bring on the ear plugs and tranqualizers.
You got to remember your listening to the same song 24 hours a day for a year.....
How about,"Silence is Golden" or "Far,Far Away"
