I turn on my computer and find so many wonderful felicitations from my extended Soulful Detroit family. What more can a man ask for?
This past year has had it's share of variety in my life but at the end of the day all the love from all my friends here on S.D. has truly been a blessing.

happy birthday mr eli.
here's what finding a friend means to me.
WANDERER
WE WANDER THROUGH LIFE'S ROCKY ROADS
NOT KNOWING WHAT ROUTES WE'LL TAKE
OUR BURDENS AND WOES ARE SO DIFFERENT
SO ARE OUR MANY MISTAKES
DESTINED TO BE JUST STRANGERS IN A WORLD
OF MAKE BELIEVE
WANDERING THROUGH LIFE AND HOPING
WE'LL FINALLY BE RELEIVED
WITH SOME KIND OF COMPASSION
A NICE WORD NOW AND THEN
FROM JUST ANOTHER WANDERER
WHO'S NOW BECOME YOUR FRIEND
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRIEND BOBBY ELI

Hello all!!!
Once again, I am truly touched by all of your wonderful birthday wishes.
Allthough we are physicall miles apart and in some cases oceans apart, I can feel the love that you are sending me this day.
The amazing thing is that God has given me the blessing of having such wonderful friends from all over the world and what is also amazing is the fact that I have been on this earth long enough to bear witness to many, many moments of musical history and its technical metamorphasis all the way back from one track mono to 5.1 surround and beyond!!
I am truly blessed!!
Eli

Best wishes Bobby from a Soulful London. Take as many photos as you can and then you can give us a 'Slide Show' when we 'Zoom' across and visit! And may I mention the cake? What will 'The Main Ingredient' be? You see, I just don't want you to be lonely either, so make sure you and Vonnie make the best of this great day!

Another question Bobby (got to get em in before you get TOO OLD to remember all the facts -- sorry that was a bit of uncalled for humour).
Can you remember a Psychodelic Frankie who cut "Putting you out of my life" (HIGH SPEED)
I believe his real name was Frank Snowden and he was a local philly musician who played bass (or guitar?) on Cliff Nobles "The horse". His only other known solo release was a 12" single on the Budweiser label.
By Eli (151.197.41.168) on Tuesday, March 04, 2003 - 11:26 am: |
Bobby here..of 'The Sweethearts of soulful Detroit!'
Frankie Snowden live in Norristown , just outside of Philly. He still dabbles in songwriting and Rusty Jackmon who plays bass with the Trammps told me that Frankie wants me to hear his songs.
He is not on the Horse. It is Ronnie Baker.
