Can any and everyone help me with something. I am looking for some new sounds and would like for it to be Gospel and Soulful Gospel at that. I am trying to get a Southern Bapt. Church out of the country sound. I know somebody can help me with this. I am on the forum every day and here is my email. svorsp@charter.net
Keep the bass line strong and your heart in the song

I am not after too new a sound, I can not go over the top the first time out. I get grief over a little addition to the hymns we sing now. I like Kirk Franklin and God's Property. I also like some of the sounds from an old movie, Leap of Faith with Steve Martin. Angels of Mercy was their name I think

Bassn For God - Have you heard the group "The Emanuals?" They have a cd called "Meet The Emanuals." They were in the top 10 a couple months ago. I know Lloyd Robinson who wrote the songs and plays the keyboard. Robinson formerly recorded with Popcorn Wylie, and is the lead singer on "The Mighty Lover."

Check out the work of the late Reverend James Cleveland, who helped start the modern gospel movement.

Check out a couple of mid 90's CD albums out of Detroit.
They were from Orlando Wright and are TRUE soulful gospel.
