It was a major disappointment last year when it was announced that the proposed remastered-in-stereo-with-bonus-tracks 4CD box set of the Motor Town Revue albums was "put on hold".

I rest my case.

Wow !!! Now that is really a disapointment,

Ritchie, I agree and Chancellor you are so right about "There Was A Time" I also love the live version of "Give It Up Turn It Loose" Live in Augusta James Brown(I think the LP is actually called Sex Machine Live).

Thanks Tony. I agree with you as well about
James Brown's " Sex Machine" Lp but the only sad
thing was that the audience was overdubbed on
that LP.

Take care,

Chancellor, between 1967-1976 I saw James Brown Shows live about 16 times(Orlando,Tampa & Jacksonville).Although I have seen him live many times since...during that 9 year period his performance was consistently GREAT.He truly is the Godfather of Soul,Soul Brother #1 and the Hardest Working Man In Showbusiness. He is one entertainer that really is better live then on record.I think Ike & Tina Turner also came across better live then on record.
