If y'all don't mind - just a note to say please keep a good thought for the Funk Brothers this weekend. Win or not, they deserve every special recognition for their two nominations, more than 30 years after Motown left Detroit. The Awards are this Sunday evening and the categories for which they are nominated, Best Soundtrack and Best Traditional R&B Performance (w/Chaka Khan), will be handed out prior to the telecast. We'll pass the word via cell phone(s) that night...
"Funk Brothers In The House!!"

Good luck to you & the Funks!

The six Funks are here, running around Manhattan doing press with Allan Slutsky. So's Bootsy Collins, who is showing his support by being here. We will all be sitting together Sunday evening. I'll be taking pictures - and then someone can explain how to upload them here.
