Thanks to Steve Kings for sending me this amazing image from the Northern Soul Scene in 1974. An attendance of 7,000 watched JJ Barnes, Major Lance, Willie Henderson and others.
Quite remarkable...

And another poster shows there was still appetite for more elsewhere on Sunday evenings.
This poster, again from Steve, is from the heart of the Northern scene...Stoke-On-Trent.

The Funky Sisters? Somebody refresh my memory...
And below, 25p. That won't even buy you a Mars Bar now, let alone a night out!

The only track I know by the Funky Sisters was "Do it to it" I think it came out on Aurora records.
I can remember it getting quite a few spins in the mid to late 70's on the all nighter scene.
I Can't recall anything else by them though.
By the way, great picture of Queens Hall. You can't beat a bit of nostalgia, you can almost smell the "Brut" from here.

That actual flyer for the Queens Hall gig I have blown up about 4 times the size shoown on here and had it framed and it hangs in my front room along with various other all-nighter framed pictures.
Great stuff fellas.
