The first record I bought from prince and albert record store where MARV JOHNSON worked was on
MIRACLE LABLE-CONTINENTAL STRUT-By Little Iva.
I think I have maybe 8ight or so 45's of the MIRACLE LABLE records.I might of missed it,but I checked the whole forum out and could not find anything here on this lable.I remember MARV saying that this lable was only out for less then a year. This might of been about 60 or 61.
Anyone know for sure, and who here worked with this lable?

Hello everyone,

Didn't Jimmy Ruffin record something for this label? Has anyone had an opportunity to hear this song?

Peace!

Jimmy Ruffin has the first release on the label.

Miracle was a Motown subsidiary and predecessor of the Gordy label. The label was in operation only during 1961.

Common
Ace/Kent Records in London included this Jimmy Ruffin song, plus two other early Motown songs, on their "Birth of Soul - Volume 3" CD.
It's a great recording.

HEY DAVID,thanx for that great scan, very kool.I also have a few on the PRINCE-ADAMS lable.
It's been a long time, but I do think the name of the record store wher MARV worked was called "THE PRINCE AND ADAMS RECORD STORE"
Somewhere I must have some old brown and white pictures of the store, probably taken with and old stand-by BROWNIE CAMERA.I will look when I go again to my storage hut.
THANX AGAIN DAVID.

Common - Ace/Kent have a Website and there are links from it to places where you can obtain the CDs. They have an extensive catalogue, so keep a tight grip of your wallet!
I don't have their Web address here with me, so just search "Ace Kent Records" and I'm sure you'll find it.
Best, Graham
