Syl Johnson's daughter Syleena Johnson has recorded two albums (the second CD released two months ago). Her Dad recorded for HI Records & had his own labels in the 1970s.

Tito Jackson's three sons a/k/a 3T had a hit on their Uncle Mike's MJJ label in the mid 1990s, "Anything."

Lalah Hathaway (daughter of Donny) released at least one LP in the early 90's; Nona Gaye, Marvin's daughter, also had one LP in the early 90's; I also remember hearing that D.J. Rogers' son was gonna release an LP on Motown last year - don't know if it was ever released though.

P-Funk's Ray Davis' son filled in for him while he was out after heart surgery and is a member of Fun'Kin (sp ?) which features off-spring of Funk Mob members and Attrell and Jarrett Cordes of PM Dawn ("Set Aside On Memory Bliss" using Spandau Ballet's "True" as a base) are the sons of *one* of the original members of Kool & The Gang.

Also, I believe I heard someone say that Johnny Taylor's son sings just like him.

What about Sam Cooke's daughter?

Hi Mel

I sent a copy of the Freddie Hughes into Jazz FM North West to get played - it is a fantastic song. Derick is also a great singer who had a solo CD out a few years back called All For Love on Be 4 Real and he was part of the group Bridge who also had a CD out which is excellent.

If you want a copy of the new CD by Freddie - please contact me off list;- colin.dilnot@btinternet.com

Thanks and best wishes
Colin
