Skip I was at a benefit for the Linda Creed breast cancer foundation last may , it was a wonderful evening, it is wonderful that her memory is kept alive in her songs but also in assisting so many women in need

Thom's party is not a surprise, per se, but some of the aattendees just may be.
I will inform him of this site at that time and I am sure that he will log on as he loves to talk!.

first off let me say LINDA CREED is my hero.
i can't express the depth of my appreciation
for the songs she has given us. when i was 15 years old i heard a song called STOP,LOOK,LISTEN
by the STYLISTICS. those lyrics literally moved
me to tears it still does to this day. i don't
like to be around others when i play that song
for fear they'll think i'm a cry baby. because
of her i have been writing and just recently
completed a demo cd that i wrote. people who have
listened to it says there's a philly sound.
how can that be when i never been to philly.i
think it's that influrence of linda creed.
i just wanted to say to you that she has written
some of the most beautiful lyrics that i've ever
heard and she is truly my hero.

Fayette:
Best of luck with your songwriting. You'd be surprised just who may be interested.
Keep in mind that Nick Ashford & Valerie Simpson were not from Detroit (they are native New Yorkers) but they wrote the big hits for Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell.

Kevgo, Nick Ashford is actually from Michigan.

Scratcher:
You're right about Nick being from Michigan but his music career came into fruition here in the Big Apple during the late 1950s.
