I have an old LP in bad shape that I love. Can anyone tell me how to find out if it ever made it to CD or where I could track down an LP in good shape? It is called Bondage, by Angelo Bond. Thanks.

I also have the Angelo Bond LP and I've never seen it on CD... I would love to have "Reach For the Moon" on CD as that 45 release was one of my faves from the early 70's.It was a big hit here in the South.

"Bondage" was out of print long before the popularity of CD's...so I'm just gonna "burn" my recently purchased "mint" LP to CD.....as soon as I buy a turntable & other required gear. LOL

Watch Japan very closely.......

Greg Perry's album was issued in Japan and so was Edna Wright (RCA)..Smith Connection (Music Merchant).....I am hoping it's a matter of time.

Tony........you and me together there! I got the 45 and the album cos I loved it so much.

Hello everyone,

Is this the same Angelo Bond that co-wrote The Temptations' "Power" with Berry Gordy?

Peace!

yup

............and he was involved in the most wonderful title of all time..from Bonnie Pointer.....Free Me From My Freedom, Tie Me To a tree, Handcuff Me. The guy deserves a medal for the title alone! LOLOL

Smith Connection's "I'm Bugging Your Phone" is a personal favorite, but I didn't realize John that they'd done an entire album. The Japanese release is it a compilation or a re-release of an original LP? Michael Smith ended up producing at Motown in the mid-70's including a couple of trax on The Temptations for their "Do the Temptations" album as well as Jermaine J's hit "Let's Be Young Tonight". He put out an "disco" album around '78 called Space Dance as The Motown Sounds, which is alright I suppose.

Speaking of connections - OG Funkadelic - Eddie Hazel played guitar, bass & banjo on the cut "Free Me From My Freedom". Eddie & James Jamerson played together on Bonnie Pointer's hit "Heaven Must Have Sent You" from the same LP. Of course you probably knew all that.

Peace

I remember the artist...Angelo Bond. What's he doing these days. Didn't he and Michael Stokes co-write some hits for the Enchantment. Is he still in the business? Also, I believe he and a trumbone player from Detroit did some writting together.

BeBop...if I'm not mistaken, Angelo Bond passed away quite some time ago.

Woody: Is Angelo still in the music business. "Reach for the Moon" was one of my favorites. He seemed so cool. Is he still writing?

Woody, thanks for the correction. I hope he's still writing...and performing. "Reach For The Moon" and "I Never Sang" were great tunes and are far better than some of the crap they try and pass off as music these days.
