Hello Folks,
i need background information about the producer and arranger Tony Camillo. I read he's the arranger from "Give me just al little more time" - Chairman of the Board and the producer and arranger from Glady's Knight and the Pips at Buddah Records.
My Questions:
Who is Tony (born, race, education)?
Had Tony a Motown history?
What did Tony at the Hotwax/Invictus Label?
Hope i hear from you!
Greetings
Rolhor

Hi Rolhor,
Tony is an Italian-American, probably in his early sixties by now.
He has a studio called Venture Sound which is in the basement of his home. When you go down there one would thing that they were in an NYC studio!!
Midnite Train... Youre the best thing.... were recorded there as well as many more by many artists including the song Murphy's Law from '80.
He arranged Band Of Gold, Give me just.... for HDH and did work for Motown as well. He had a studio group called Bazooka on A&M

Hi everyone. I remember playing on sessions at HDH with Tony as arranger. He was good and I enjoyed working with him. He did the arrangements for HDH before McKinnley Jackson, who also did a fine job.

Bobby....didn't Tony work with Frankie Laine...I have somewhere in the back of my mind that he did "Don't Make My Baby Blue" (the old Shadows hit)
