Surely a thread has been done about Doni Burdicks work! But if so,then I cant find it.
So I thought I would start one.
I have the record, the outstanding instrumental of
Bari Trak, and once had in my hands and on my deck the un-issued Acetates of his again, totally, outstanding tracks of Candel and the wall cracking, floor shaking,What you gonna do.
All huge records on the british rare/northern soul scene and rightly so.
Does anyone know what Mr.Burdick is involved with today, and was anyone on this site involved in any way with the above records mentioned or Know of any relevent information regards all the above queries?
Many thanks for any feed back.
Mel(andthensome).

Mel I did relate a story on the site sometime ago about one of the first UK Detroit collectors, Bob Foster. Bob went around to the Sound Impression studios in the early 70s, simply knocked on the door and asked if Doni was in. He was and gave Bob a tour of the building and then autographed a double sided acetate of a couple of sides that I can't recall without phoning Bob. The disc is in circulation in the UK. Keith
