I felt ya Larry..
My doshas were in sync as I drank my Bancha tea
and sprayed my Patchouli oil. I topped it all off with a sage smudge and an evening meditation with Deepak Chopra..

So I only had a few minutes and I raced over to Hollywood's RockWalk at the Guitar Center.
Somehow I made it through traffic quickly from Universal City.
Lots of security, I couldn't park in the back, GC was closed. etc...It was 6:35... so I went to Sam Ash and played some guitars
AT 6:55 I saw Paul Justman out front. Lights, Cameras, Press were there but things did not look as though they were to start on time.(7 PM)
At 7:20 I had to go as my daughter was singing in a Miss Teen Idol Vocal Competition in Simi Valley.
And if I missed THAT I would REALLY have to pay she-that-knows-all!
Oh well I tried.
Maybe someone will have a report??

Hey Vicki Trivia here....
Did you know that Patchouli oil is/was made in Royal Oak Michigan?
They sold a lot of that stuff down on Plum Street. (We'll see who remembers that!?!)

I made it to Guitar Center just in time. With Video Cam in tow. I was out side the heavily secure GC and wondering how I was goign to get in then I remembered Larry's bravado at the Hollywood premier back in October so, my wife and I just strolled past security... It was a great event. I do have video and need to talk to Ralph, David or Lowell about hosting a short video of the hands in cement. As they say, A picture is worth a thousand words. I am listening to K-Earth 101 and the guys are about to be interviewed...

Could they post a link to another site to download a QT, WM or RA file?

Vickie and Common,
AHHH but it is because of the younger generation you belong to that old school R&B will be validated as something as good as what we, who were there originally, thought it was. We pass the torch to you and what once was POP Music evolves into a genre of Standards that will be enjoyed for generations to come.

Hello all. I was at GC for the ceremony. There's a bust of Jamerson on the wall just as you enter. I stopped and looked at him. Moisture quickly filled my eyes as I told the representation of the greatest bassist ever, "We did it Pops. Now the whole world's gonna know who you are and what you and the rest of the Funks did." I looked around and everybody had a look of accomplishment on their faces. Freddie Washington, Phil Chen and myself have been striving for recognition for Jamerson since before Allan Slutsky's book. Along with many others. But that evening, the three of us just looked and smiled and cried. Damn shame seeing grown men cry. (smile) But it felt so good.
