I caught the funks on BET news tonight and I must say it stirred me to want to see the movie.Jack Ashford is a quality spokesman(how did he learn to play that tambourine like that-truly amazing!).Babbitt is big-very solid like that of a bear!!He also seems to of found the fountain of youth-he looked like he was in his prime!!It hurt seeing Pistol knowing he's not here anymore-he seemed like such a blessing and now Johnny Griffith's passing-very heartbreaking. The segment was put together very well drawing you to want to see the movie with strong emotions felt.I'll be there on Friday.Sincerely,A Motown Funk Fan!!

I'm re-watching BET peace which I taped. Saw Ali Woodson and Ron Tyson singing with Gerald Lavert. Allan Slutsky, Ashford & Simpson, Mary Wilson. The stars at the Apollo should have come to the Roostertail. (Then the engineers would have been fighting to set up the system.)
I saw the advertisement on the TV. Extemely powerful. Anything on the Funk Brothers on the TV, I tape. That was a great peace on BET.

Jamerson FINALLY making the cover of Bass Player? I'm heading over to Barnes & Noble right now!

PS TO SISDETROIT
We New Yorkers would've been happy to send (some of) the stars AND the engineer from the Apollo. Then again, let me not beat a dead horse into the mud...KG
