I am told that Gino Washington and Nathaniel Mayer will be headlining an "All Star Soul and R&B Revue" at the Southfield Theatre in Detroit on December 6th. This show is being held (in part) to help promote Gino's release on Norton of what is described as 'red hot R&B of the 1st order'. What are Gino's release on Norton like, are the tracks of consistent quality ??

John,
There's only one Norton release by Gino that I'm
aware of - it's a compilation of his sixties tracks.
Maybe he's done another CD of newly recorded
tracks.

There is a brand new compilation of Gino Washington tracks (and Gino produced tracks)that Norton has just released called "Love Bandit". It sounds amazing and I highly reccomend picking it up.

The new Gino CD has an excellent, previously unreleased 1966 track called "Everything Is Di-Jo-Be"... plus some related recordings such as the Tomangoes. I like it a lot.
