Hello Mr. McDougal,

I have a question. I just purchased a greatest hits CD by Barbara Mason & I saw your name come up in the liner notes. I had no idea that you discovered her. If you ever have a chance, would mind discussing how that came about? Thank you! :o)

Peace!

Weldon,do you have any info on who Teddy and the finger poppers were/are.I have a record by them called Soul groove (PTS 1&2)On the Arctic Label. And regards the above item,I Have various Barbara Mason tracks, but one of my favourites is Bobby is my Baby also on Arctic.Whats happened to the artists that cut I Cant break this habit,Shiggy Diggy,Shes puttin you on etc, etc.I must just say that the United 4 disc is one of my best Harthon records of all time. Also weldon,I know of a track on a Virtue Acetate that was credited to Les Wright and the Elbejays called Baby, dont you do it.But rumoured later to actually be The United 4.Do you know anything regards this acetate? Also looking forward to the Eddie Holman unreleased material you mention. Many,Many thanks Weldon.MEL.

Many thanks for that Weldon, the Virtue acetate must of had the Les Wright and The Elbejays on the Acetate label as a cover up name as I Have it down as the United 4 as well.I think that the Shes puttin you on track by the United 4 on Harthon is one of the greatest dancers to of hit this Rare/Northern soul scene of ours.An absolute stomper. What do you remember about this track? Is Lee Garrett still recording?By the way Weldon,I Have a small confession to make to you,I Fell in love with your wife from 1972 to the present day, everytime I play my Grooving at the Go-GO.Truly a talented pair yourself and wife are. Many thanks, and please send my best wishes to your wife.MEL.

Hi Mel I don't know what Twilights record you have but here's the numbers of "It's Been So Long" and "She Gonna Put Me Down" Harthon TW 134 A&B.
" Shipwreck" and " For The First Time" Harthon TW 135 A&B, I don't remember all the records we put out, becouse we would record everybody, that we thought was good, some time we would do the same track on four or five acts, then I would try to make a deal,
if I could'nt make a deal we would put it out on Harthon,We only put the record out in Philadelphia so to here from peaple all over the world, takes me out!!!! I fill so good that peaple
like what we did back in the day, I would say about two or three hundred more or lest, see you

Weldon:
KevGo here from NYC...I'm a big fan of Eddie Holman and would like to know if there is any chance of seeing Eddie's Cameo/Parkway material reissued on CD? I have two CD's each with "This Can't Be True" (one with the organ and the other without). Are these masters in your possession or do we have to knock on Allen Klein's door at ABKCO? Please advise.
